Welcome to Freed. By downloading, accessing, or using the Freed mobile application or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the application.

1. Medical Disclaimer (Important)

Freed is a digital habit-tracking and behavioral support tool. Freed is NOT a medical device, and does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or clinical treatment.

The calculations, tapering schedules, and motivational tips provided by Freed are for educational and self-monitoring purposes only. Nicotine withdrawal can produce physiological and psychological symptoms. If you experience severe withdrawal symptoms, chest pain, depression, or distress, consult a licensed healthcare professional or doctor immediately.

In emergencies, contact your local emergency services (e.g. 911 in the US) or call the free confidential National Quitline at 1-800-QUIT-NOW (1-800-784-8669).

2. Subscriptions & Billing

Freed offers optional premium features ("Freed Pro") via in-app subscriptions and one-time lifetime purchases:

Free Trials: If offered with a free trial, your subscription will automatically renew into a paid recurring subscription unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the trial period.
Billing: Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID or Google Play account. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase.
Cancellation & Management: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple App Store or Google Play Store Account Settings.
Refunds: All refund requests are handled directly by Apple (for iOS) or Google (for Android) according to their respective refund policies.

3. License & Acceptable Use

Subject to these Terms, Freed grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

Freed is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that your use of Freed will result in complete smoking cessation, as success depends on individual commitment and external factors.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Freed, its creators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to or use of the application.

6. Standard Apple EULA

These Terms incorporate the terms of the Standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). In the event of any conflict, these Terms shall control.
